Kate Kempthorne

When I was six years old I decided I was going to be an artist. Since then lots has changed, and soon my answer to the classic question of “what do you want to be when you grow up” has changed a million times. Five years later I took an art class run by Michelle Austen, and six-year-old me fell in love all over again. Since then I’ve been creating nonstop. Over the years I’ve experimented in different media, loving some, strongly disliking others. I work primarily in acrylic and on a collection of 3D creations. When exploring and creating art I love to look for the story behind it as it is the emotions and memories behind the creation that bring the piece to life.
