TANYA ZAKAROW

I think of myself as an artist with a story to tell. To be honest, it is actually the story of many different people who have very different stories. I can’t think of a better thing to watch, study and discover then the human face. There is no comparison as I am drawn into the narrative behind my subject’s eyes. I am a realism artist who works primarily in coloured pencil and watercolour. I love to create, share, and experience the art of humanity. I live in Okotoks, Alberta with my husband and two daughters and am a self taught artist. I haven’t shown my work publicly or in a formal setting but I am excited for this new adventure. I have recently been given the opportunity to fully commit my time to my family and my developing art career.
