Breathe by Sienna Holden

A Special Two Act Performance

November 26th only!

Genre: Musical

Breathe is a musical about the humanity of people. It centres around three generations of women; a grandmother, mother, and daughter. Sarah, the mother, is a recovering addict who is trying to reconnect with her estranged daughter, Molly. Deborah is Sarah’s mother and very wary about her intentions. This musical takes the audience through the ups and down of life as an addict and it also looks at the impact an individual’s addiction takes on the people who love them. Breathe journeys through the fantastical and surreal to look at the internal workings of grief, trauma, addiction, but most importantly, love.

* This production contains themes and discussions of substance abuse, self harm, suicidal ideation, birth trauma, mental illness and the use of mature language.

Celexia

by Alexa R. McGinn

November 22 & 24

Genre: Comedy

Growing up as a budding writer, Alexa’s world is rocked after being placed in remedial reading and spelling classes at school. One dyslexia diagnosis later, we follow Alexa as she navigates school, discovers the internet, declares Shakespeare to be an old fart, and revives her love for words. Using dance, spoken word, and a few book references for good measure, Celexia is an autobiographical ode to words and a declaration of our human desire to create and be heard.

Conner Ruins Christmas: A Stand-Up Dramedy

November 24 Only!

Genre: Comedy

A Stand-Up Dramedy by Conner Christmas: A solo show about our relationship with Christmas. It captures the magic of Christmas as a kid, the growing pains of the holiday season as an adult, and Conner’s own relationship to Christmas, through song, stand-up comedy, and storytelling. Come celebrate and critique Christmas as you learn the history of Christmas past, the feeling of Christmas present, and goals for Christmas future. Take a deep dive into nostalgia, and reconnect with the magic we’ve all felt during the holidays.

J.G (a psychedelic juggling experience) by Schuyler Snowdon

November 23 , 25 & 28

Genre: Physical Theatre

What is a juggling experience? Nobody really knows what a juggling show is, they can’t picture what a show with just a juggler is going to be. I blame magicians. Everybody can picture a magic show in one form or another, so jugglers just get called magicians. Which feels vaguely unfair.

This show isn’t going to help the confusion. Picture a dark room with colourful lights, and a surrealist attitude. It’s what happens when a modern dance show, big top circus and 1800s illusion show meet. It lives or dies on its vibes. My whole career has been putting together shows that people like but struggle to describe. You need to come see J.G. A Psychedelic Juggling Experience, because it’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before

*This production contains the use of black lights and some flickering effects

Love and Barbed Wire by Peter Willis & Nicolas Corbeil

November 23 , 25 & 28

Genre: Musical

Love and Barbed Wire is a musical revolving around a couple celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in the early 1960’s. As per their own tradition, they reminisce and celebrate their time together by reading aloud a selection of their letters to one another from when they were newlyweds and then separated by World War One. Love and Barbed Wire honours the dedication and sacrifices made by so many during this time, and the capacity for change and gratitude within us all.

Riverona Episode 2: Yonder Window Breaks by Full Circle Theatre

November 22 & 25

Genre: Parody

The drama never dies with episode 2 of Riverona, a teen drama retelling of Romeo & Juliet. As the star-crossed lovers make their plans to be together, the rest of the youths battle to save their favourite cool teen hangout from imminent eviction. Forget the plotlines from the previous episode, because these teens are in love and nothing can stand in their way!

To Dance With Monsters by Victoria Pilot

November 24 Only!

Genre: Dance

To Dance with Monsters is an experimental play, which highlights and explores the cycle of abuse. The audience is provided an intimate view, into the relationship of Margot and Dean, and what happens behind closed doors, as love slowly turns to poison.

This story is told through snapshots of moments, throughout Margot and Dean’s relationship, each highlighting the signs and progression of abuse.
