JO-ANNE WHITE

Jo-Anne White is a recent graduate from Alberta University of the Art’s Illustration program. She is 24 years old and was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. Jo-Anne has been passionate about telling stories through her work since she was small. Growing up in a household filled with creatives meant she was exposed to many types of art growing up, which eventually led her to pursuing it as a career. Having just recently graduated she is excited to get out there and start her journey. Her work focuses mostly on darker narratives, and take inspiration from folklore, and the supernatural. These have been creative driving forces for her, as she finds the otherworldly interesting in both a creative aspect, as well as a societal one.
