Mildred Leal moved to Calgary in January 2023. She is a new student at the AUArts and sees Calgary as a great source of inspiration: the landscapes, the city life, the community and the support to the arts. She enjoys doing art to inspire others, to brighten a space, and as a process of disconnecting from busy life and connecting with herself. She volunteers at the Contemporary Calgary. and sees the arts as a way of expression as well as a way of self knowledge.
