I was born and raised in Alberta and my appreciation and need to connect with nature has been something that I have always valued. Exercising my creativity through drawing is the other thing I gravitate toward to process the days and connect with myself and the world around me.

Since I’ve picked up the pencil again recently I have primarily focused on depicting local wildlife. At times, I add pressed foliage that I source locally as well. I challenge myself with different textures of the animals and plants I draw but keep my tools simple. There is a mindfulness practice I am exercising when drawing and I like to have a connection
to my subject matter in some way in order to breathe life into the work in a more meaningful way
