Mildred Leal

Mildred Leal is a student of visual arts at AuArts and a newcomer to Calgary from Ecuador. She sees Calgary as a great source of inspiration: the landscapes, the city life, the community and the support for the arts. She enjoys doing art to inspire others, brighten spaces and as a process for disconnecting from busy life and connecting with herself. She also enjoys volunteering to help paint murals and helping with performing arts events happening around Calgary. She sees the arts as a way of expression as well as a way of self-knowledge
