STEPHANIE STUDZINSKI (AKA ELUCIOUS)

Elucious is the artistic nom de guerre of Dr. Stephanie Studzinski. While Stephanie has pursued her education in literary studies, she has always been passionate about art and so began painting as a hobby. Now that she has relocated to Canada, she wants to pursue a career as an artist. As an artist, Stephanie’s work embraces a ferocious and luxurious subjectivity to create colorful popsurreal artwork which challenges the common misconception that black and white reality, the mythic zero world, is the only reality and We all inhabit it. Stephanie creates divergent narratives leading into the dark forest down unforaged paths to recover unsung stories, unusual acquaintances, and introduce fresh directives and inspirational wild truths. While Stephanie was born in the US, she has studied and worked in the United Kingdom and Hong Kong. Stephanie has a Cantonese spouse and was given a Chinese name which she uses to seal her paintings, representing fluidity of our compounding identities and the fact that we are all hybrid entities in process.
