The Pumphouse Theatre Drama Day Camp is a great introduction to the creative world of theatre. Participants learn through dramatic arts to gain confidence, make friends and have fun! Our theme this year is: LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!
Each day of camp is divided into classes, covering a variety of acting techniques, speech, physical theatre, play creation, and much more! Emphasis is placed on collaborative group-work that helps to develop social and life skills. Under the guidance of our enthusiastic instructors and counselors, participants will work together within their age group to create a final presentation showcasing their talents to friends and family.
Our 5-day sessions (ages 7-15) focus on theatre fundamentals and are perfect for anyone trying drama camp for the first time, or just tight on time! Our 9-day session (ages 10 – 15) is geared towards campers with some experience beginning with the fundamentals and building towards more advanced technique exploration. No matter the session, our drama camps will support all children to grow, learn, and explore their creativity in a fun-filled and inclusive environment.
Times
Monday to Friday: 9:00 am – 4:30 pm
Pre-Care: 8:00 am – 9:00 am
Post-Care: 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm
Pre & Post Care services are included in the cost of registration.
Final performances are on the second Thursday of the 9 Day sessions, and on the Friday of the 5 Day sessions. All participants will receive an official camp t-shirt, and a digital copy of their final performance.
We are unfortunately unable to accommodate registrations of participants who are under the age of 7 years during any camp session.
Cost
5 Day sessions: $325 Regular ($275 Early Bird/Multi-Child/Multi-Session)
9 Day session: $500 Regular ($450 Early Bird/Multi-Child/Multi-Session)
A $50 discount applies to multiple registrations per family, multiple session registrations, or to early bird registrations received before May 15th. No more than 1 discount will apply per registration and cannot be combined with another discount.
We do have a bursary option for those who need financial assistance. These bursaries are in limited supply and an application must be requested from the Programming Director.
Payment can be made either over the phone or by sending an e-transfer to admin@pumphousetheatre.ca
